Biography
Jerry has over 30 years’ experience in the energy industry with in depth knowledge of a wide range of disciplines including asset management, construction and the project management of complex and high value engineering and infrastructure projects.
Having fulfilled a number of engineering roles in Jersey Electricity, Jerry spent 12 years leading a number of high profile infrastructure projects with a total investment value of £150m including the last two projects to install subsea power cables between Jersey and France.
Most recently Jerry led HLG’s engineering support to Guernsey Electricity during their recent project to replace the subsea power cable between Jersey and Guernsey which included providing installation vessel ‘client rep’ services and overseeing the land-side works in Guernsey.
Jerry has extensive experience in delivering projects from inception through to installation and commissioning including procurement and tendering, tender adjudication and contract negotiation, program and change management, cost management, risk auditing, Health and Safety management, reporting, project close -out and handover.
Jerry is HLG’s lead on the recently announced Green Technology initiative, seeking to promote the deployment of on-Island renewables as Jersey looks to meet its Sustainability and Zero Carbon commitments. Jerry has also recently been qualified as a Health and Safety Project Co-ordinator (HSPC).
